Join us on Thursday, November 13 at 6 PM at Temple Adath B'Nai Israel for a new performance of the New Traditions Series, featuring the Eykamp String Quartet in an evening of powerful and moving chamber music. This program honors the legacy of Jewish composers and includes works written by victims of the Holocaust, reflecting both the cultural richness and the resilience of their voices through music.The performance will include Joseph Horovitz’s Oboe Quartet, Op. 18, featuring Elizabeth Robertson on oboe alongside quartet members Jack Bogard and Michael Chu, violins, Mark Hatlestad, viola, and Graham Cullen, cello. Also on the program are Five Pieces for String Quartet by Erwin Schulhoff and String Quartet No. 3, Op. 46 by Viktor Ullmann—both composers whose lives and music were deeply affected by the events of the Holocaust.
This concert is free and open to the public.
