The process involves a data and inventory analysis of existing conditions along with potential for growth, and public engagement to invite community feedback.
Updates will affect future development, including housing, parks, jobs, and infrastructure, and respond to changes in state laws.
Elements of the Comprehensive Plan that will be discussed include Future Land Use, Housing, Sanitary Sewer, Potable Water, Solid Waste, Drainage, and Natural Groundwater Aquifer Recharge, Conservation, and Economic Development.
Elements that have been recently updated or are being addressed separately include Transportation, Property Rights (2021), Coastal Management (2019), Recreation and Open Space (2020), Intergovernmental Coordination (2019), Capital Improvements, Historical and Archaeological Preservation (2020), and Public Schools Facilities (2019).
