This group is for adults who identify as LGBTQ+ and is open to anyone who has lived experience with a disability ranging from, but not limited to physical disability (eg. wheel chair use, chronic pain, etc.), emotional or behavioral (eg. ADHD, ASD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, etc.).This social and peer-support group is designed to bring together this vibrant portion of our community here at the Harriet Hancock Center.
We recognize that language to describe folx who are queer and have a disability should be person-centered. We also recognize that this is a hot topic and a personal choice to choose language that describes ones experience. The group's name will be developed by its members.
