About this Event
Welcome to the New Orleans One Million Steps for OCD Walk!
Come join us at Washington Square for a day of raising awareness and support for those affected by OCD and related disorders. Lace up your sneakers and take steps towards a brighter future for individuals living with these conditions.
Free to participate, but please register in advance to start fundraising! This much-loved event is a place where we can connect with others and educate our communities about what it really means to have OCD or a related disorder (e.g. body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), hoarding disorder, and body-focused repetitive disorders). Let's walk together to show our solidarity and break the stigma surrounding mental health.
Registration is free, but those who raise $25 or more will get a free t-shirt at check-in. All walkers 12 and younger get a T-shirt as well. The event is family friendly and will have plenty of activities to keep the kids busy.
All funds raised will support programming of OCD Louisiana and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). 50% of funds go directly to our local affiliate, helping us train clinicians and provide our low-cost treatment program, Courageous Campers, to local kids and adolescents.
If you can’t make the walk, please consider making a donation (http://iocdf.org/walknola). Your support truly makes a difference.
We can't wait to see you there!
