New Orleans Book Fest Opening Session | Thursday, March 9, 2023 5-7PM
Doors open at 4pm

We are excited to present two engaging sessions on our Thursday night opening event, which is free and open to the public. Our night begins with the first African-American Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, in conversation with Michelle Miller, co-host of CBS Saturday Morning, about his remarkable life and career in justice. Then, Tulane’s own Walter Isaacson, author of multiple #1 New York Times best sellers, including Steve Jobs and The Code Breaker, will interview Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation about his many contributions to the human race, from technological and business innovations to his unmatched philanthropy. Please join us for a thought-provoking and inspiring night as we launch the 2023 New Orleans Book Festival - Mardi Gras for the mind!
