Ore Dock Brewing proudly presents the latest tasty import from Chicago, NEW NOSTALGIA. Featuring members of Chicago's own Bumpus and Bonzo Squad, this instrumental jazz/rock nonet (yes, that's 9 people) boasts a powerhouse 5-horn section in the front, and a shredding rock band in the back. New Nostalgia is led by saxophonist/composer/musical mad scientist Neil Carson, who says "we're a jazz band that thinks we're a rock band." Combining sounds you didn't think could go together––like Duke Ellington and Green Day; Miles Davis and Metallica; Frank Sinatra and Earth Wind and Fire––to create something new, something you didn't know you needed in your ears. New Nostalgia is a groove laboratory, forging music for your head, your heart, and your booty.You might recognize New Nostalgia's pianist Andrew Lawrence, and drummer Zack Marks––both are also members of Bumpus, our longtime friends from Chicago who call Marquette their second home.
