About the Venue
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, located on St. Paul Street just north of North Avenue, is a historic Baltimore City Landmark known for its stunning Tiffany stained glass windows, mosaics, and lighting. Completed in 1898, the church's simple rectangular design and half-dome above the altar reflect early Christian architecture, while the vibrant colors and intricate patterns on the walls, ceilings, and arches transport visitors to a world of Byzantine beauty. The church remains a remarkable example of Louis Comfort Tiffany's work, with nearly all features intact, including the original tile mosaic floor and wall hangings. St. Mark’s has also been an LGBTQ-affirming space since 1985, making it a welcoming and inclusive place for all.
