Stunningly famous for a good reason!About this Event
Join me for a stunning Springy trip through some of England's most famous woodlands and climb the famous Box Hill at an easy pace.
Box Hill is probably the best known summit near London and you are in for some absolutely beautiful views of up to 14 counties on a clear day! There are various trails around the hill and we will take you to an easier one about half of the distance which is good if you are getting back to hiking or are a beginner.There will be a couple of ascents though, especialy the first one but as you climb to the hill top, and sweat out all the toxins in your body, you will be delighted with some stunning views and a stop for coffee and cakes at the cafe before you carry on with the rest of the hike.You will begin this trip with the stepping stones, The Stepping Stones are an iconic landmark of Surrey and they're a perfect spot to stop and watch the river flow by. This trail takes in some glorious views of the Surrey Hills and passes by the Fort, one of the hills most famous landmarks.If you like the woods and the scents and colours of the Spring, you are in for a treat, so join our little journey and have fun with our amazing guide, the lovely and wonderful Wendy!
INFORMATION:
DISTANCE: about 7 miles/10km
The whole hike should take about 4 hours with a break included
DIFFICULTY: Medium, a couple of hills but a shorter distance
TRANSPORT:By train; we will buy an off peak group days return that will allow us to save 35%on the ticket price and should cost around £10. (The train should take around 45 minutes.
