The Shoreline Greenway Trail is a project to build a trail and connect communities in a 25-mile corridor from New Haven to Madison and beyond, improving bicycle and pedestrian accessibility between and within those towns.
Shoreline Greenway Trail (SGT), a nonprofit organization, is the primary advocate for the effort from East Haven to Madison and would like to grow its group to include New Haven.
In New Haven the City Government has announced a project to complete most of the trail through the City of New Haven!
The Shoreline Greenway Trail is a regional non-profit with official 'Town Teams' in the Towns of East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and Madison and has voted to expand its presence to New Haven with the hopes of moving West along the Shore to organize towns to improve the current East Coast Greenway routes to the New York Border.
