New Found Sound is a free, family-friendly, live music event happening across 10 venues and unique spaces in Port Adelaide.Back by popular demand after its debut in 2024, the free, one-night-only event offers an unforgettable opportunity to explore the precinct and enjoy performances from over 30 of South Australia’s most exciting emerging acts. From the historic SA Maritime Museum to the iconic Clipper Ship, this year’s music discovery event presented in 10 unique venues and spaces, promises a night filled with great music, delicious food and drink, and an unbeatable community spirit to kick off Adelaide’s 2025 summer festival season, brought to you by the City of PAE!

Whether your taste leans towards punk, soul, indie folk, or jazz, or you’re up for discovering something out of this world, this year’s lineup has something for everyone. The second iteration of this free music event is presented by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield in partnership with Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, as part of the Live & Local program initiative born from the council’s Creative Port Plan. Live & Local aims to increase live music activity in Port Adelaide by supporting local musicians, businesses, and organisations. The Festival is also supported by Revive Live - an Australian Government initiative.

SA Maritime Museum
The SA Maritime Museum will host an exciting lineup of three established artists: Pascoe/Martin, San Ureshi, and David Kotlowy. They will all be performing on the historic Ketch, adding a special maritime atmosphere to their brilliant, experimental, and improvised works. Additionally, the entire museum will be open to the public for free on the night, offering visitors the chance to explore the museum’s fascinating maritime exhibits while enjoying these unique performances. Located in the heart of Port Adelaide, the museum blends maritime heritage with the contemporary sounds of South Australia's emerging talent, which will undoubtedly create an unforgettable experience for all.
An Immersive Experience on the Historic Clipper Ship
Step aboard the City of Adelaide, the world's oldest surviving clipper ship, and be part of a fully immersive sound and light experience. Now permanently docked in Port Adelaide, the City of Adelaide will be brought to life by Blood Circle, an experimental electronic artist drawing inspiration from Siouxsie and The Banshees, Depeche Mode, and Aphex Twin. Expect an unforgettable genre-bending mix of sound and light inside one of Australia’s most historic artefacts.
Mondo Psycho at Vitalstatistix
For a high-energy finish, head to Vitalstatistix to catch Mondo Psycho, fronted by powerhouse vocalist Carla Lippis. Known for their explosive stage presence, Mondo Psycho never disappoints. This eclectic set will feature several of Adelaide’s finest musicians performing in one of the city’s most iconic contemporary art spaces, the heritage-listed Waterside Workers Hall. Other acts for the night are punk rockers Pest Control and Georgia Oatley.
Witness 'Slug Groove' at 10 Gallon Hat
Not familiar with Slug Groove? Wander down to 10 Gallon Hat, Port Adelaide's very own dimly lit Americana-inspired bar, for a show unlike any other with Live Slug Reaction. Known for their unique groove sound, they’ll bring a one-of-a-kind atmosphere to the venue. Other acts include SILK and the soulful Tell Mama, all promising an evening full of groovy, foot-tapping tunes with a whiskey sour in hand.
TONIX at Pirate Life Brewery
Closing out the night at Pirate Life Brewery is the genre-blending TONIX, an emerging electronic/indie/pop group fresh off supporting Cold Chisel at the VAILO Adelaide 500 after-race concert. Their energy is infectious, and their unique sound will leave you wanting more. Joined by the whimsical My Cherie and upbeat pop band Pash, this trio of performances will make Pirate Life's beer garden the perfect spot for a memorable evening.
Pop-Up Performances in Iparrityi Laneway curated by Carclew
Those who love discovering new music in intimate settings will be pleased to know that Iparrityi Laneway will feature pop-up performances by young emerging talent thanks to a curated lineup in partnership with Carclew. Wander through the laneway and soak up the magic of emerging artists like Pearly Stars, Cringetrender, Awnings, The Strangers, Zara Chantelle, and Emerauld as you move between venues on the night.
