New England FOOLS presents: New England Legends Speaker Series Night for 2024.Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill said it best “everyone has those 1 or 2 stories nobody has ever heard”. Come together with some of the best that have come out of the New England fire service and hear those stories.
In the preamble of the Articles of Association of FOOLS International it states "Our forefathers have worked hard, struggled and died for what is considered by us the best job in the world, and we owe it not only to them, but also to ourselves to preserve all that they have accomplished". The New England FOOLS believe in this wholeheartedly. One of the ways that we can do that is by honoring those who have paved the way and set the course for us. Those retirees who have ‘been there and done that’ and are willing to share, and help preserve and pass along these traditions.
Last year's “legends” speaker series night was a hit, so we decided to do it again. We've changed venues, and are once again giving some of these New England legends a place to tell some of their stories. Not all of us have had the pleasure of being able to sit around the firehouse kitchen table hearing the “old guys” tell their tales of derring-do.
With this speaker series, the New England FOOLS affords us all that opportunity. A handful of legendary firemen from around New England that have all had storied careers, sharing some of those very tales.
