The Woman’s Club of Wisconsin is honored to have Executive Director Philip Connelly and Associate Director Ben Holt speak to us about their experiences and perspectives, as they continue to develop worthwhile programs at the Grand Avenue Club. The presentation will introduce the Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, a globally-recognized non-clinical model of mental health support that focuses on community, purpose and recovery.
The presentation will also explore what mental illness is, and what it isn’t, challenging misconceptions and emphasizing the importance of long-term, community-based support. At Grand Avenue Club, while providing education and employment are critical components of recovery, they are most sustainable when paired with a strong foundation of community and enrichment.
