Aotearoa New Zealand National Social Workers’ Day Event. This professional development symposium celebrates Pacific social work and Pacific social workers in Aotearoa New Zealand. This event offers keynote presentations, panel talanoa, networking and the launch of a cultural humility framework for working with Pacific families.
Pacific social work thought-leaders, activists, practitioners, policy-makers and researchers have been invited to talanoa on three critical themes for Pacific social work.
Join us for a keynote address alongside the following professional panels that will talanoa on their experience and insights on three themes related to Pacific social work.

o What does cultural competence and cultural humility look like when working with Pacific children and their families?
• Enacting Anti-Racism within Aotearoa NZ Social Work Systems

o What examples of cross-cultural allyship have worked well for Pacific social workers?
