Welcome back! New Challengers is a tournament and more for players of all levels. We aim to provide an environment for anyone to play games and have fun. Anyone interested in learning more and getting better will be able to play with some of the area's most elite players! New Challengers was created to build a community from more than just a few people; we represent the whole state and beyond. Our goal has always been to make one, big family everywhere. As always, your support is what makes all of this possible and we hope you enjoy the show!
The COVID-19 pandemic is not completely over, so there are precautions that must be taken here. Firstly, all patrons are required to wear facemasks while inside. We've been doing that for over a year now. Unfortunate, but easy. Second, we will be requiring attendees to provide documentation of one of the following:
* Proof of at least one (1) vaccination dose, in the form of the card issued.
* A negative COVID-19 test result from within the past three (3) days.
* Documentation from a doctor that demonstrates active antibodies. This would normally only exist in someone who has recently recovered from COVID-19 infection, and is pretty similar to being vaccinated for a short time.

* All games are run on PS4 consoles, unless otherwise noted.
* Games will be run in a standard, competitive format. Any specific rules are listed in event details.
* Please bring your own controller.
**ADMISSION**
Competitor admission: $10
Spectator admission: FREE!
Game entry: $10 per game, $5 per side game
* All entrants MUST register before the event. **PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED**
* Tournament entrants must pay the Competitor fee, in addition to the entry fee for each game desired.
* Payment can be made during registration via PayPal. In addition, cash, card or PayPal will be accepted on-site.
* Medical documentation for attendees can be presented during registration/check-in.
*Side games*
The entry fee for side games will be $5, instead of the usual $10. All players must still pay the Competitor fee. Very often these games produce smaller turnouts, therefore any tournament will depend on enough entrants being present (minimum of 8 recommended).The tournament will be cancelled if there aren't enough entrants. So, if you are interested, please sign up so others can see that interest in the games.
This does require extra equipment and time, so if players can provide any additional systems necessary, it will help run the game. We will reimburse your Competitor fee if you supply a console and monitor, or half your fee for supplying just a console. This depends on circumstances and is first come, first served.
*Casual play*
It's always difficult to find enough players for some games. So, instead of offering multiple tournaments that may likely get cancelled, we highly encourage players to bring their own equipment - for these games or any others - and just play. No strings. Bring any game or system you like and just have fun, however space does fill up throughout the day. Feel free to leave a message in the event page or the Discord, letting people know what you will bring or would like to see.
*Prizes*
Prize pool will be determined by number of entrants per game as follows:
< 8 players: Top 2 - 75% / 25%
8-31 players: Top 3 - 60% / 30% / 10%
32-47 players: Top 4 - 55% / 27.5% / 12.5% / 5%
48-63 players: Top 6 - 50% / 25% / 12.5% / 7.5% / 2.5% / 2.5%
64+ players: Top 8 - 50% / 25% / 10% / 8% / 2.5% / 2.5% / 1% / 1%
