There are lots of Ghost legends about New Brighton, one of the most mysterious Maritime landmarks in the country, which was previously known as Ye Black Rock and has a long, dark reputation as being a meeting place for various Witches covens, Smugglers and occultists. We have our own Witches Curse of The Magazine Hotel which is connected to the Liscard Vale Witches Coven. There’s the ghost of the Victorian Gentleman who is seen on Liscard Vale hill quite often and has been captured on film. There’s the apparition of The old Customs Man with his Lantern. Then we have a former Lighthouse Keeper and lecherous murderer, is said to be buried close to the Lighthouse and legend has it that his ghastly-looking zombie-like form has been seen to slowly emerge from its watery grave on some moonlit nights. Even in death, the lustful Lighthouse Keeper has allegedly attacked young ladies who have been foolish enough to cross the Beach after dark. You will be venturing into The Witches Clearing, Paranormal Hotspots, The Old Gunpowder Village, The Fairy Village, Lighthouse, Battery and More.
