Sunday 4th January 2026 10am. New Beginnings Same Big Hills! Saunton New Year Celebration WalkA varied walk around Saunton enjoying stunning coastal views. Starting at Saunton car park and walking across Saunton Down, climbing the hill to enjoy spectacular views of Braunton Burrows, Westward Ho! and the Taw/ Torridge estuary. Then following the southwest coast path walking alongside sand dunes, before crossing through Braunton Burrows and returning along Saunton Sands beach. Option to stay for coffee/ drinks/ refreshments at the end of the walk. Bring your own or purchase from Saunton Break Café.
Meet at Saunton Sands car park at 10am.

Grade: Moderate to challenging
Terrain: Coast path, footpaths and beach. Some slippery and muddy stretches in wet weather. Steep climb/ ascent at Saunton Down. Beach & Burrows footpaths can be soft sand/ strenuous to walk in places.
Toilets: Next to car park.
Parking: Saunton Sands car park £8.50 for 4 hours. £1 per hour after this.
Please wear weather/ ground conditions appropriate clothing/ footwear and bring a packed lunch/ snacks/ drinks.
