NutRemix (presented by Nike), set on Memphis iconic Beale Street, is an electrifying and innovative production brought to life by New Ballet Ensemble & School, a national award-winning and groundbreaking Creative Youth Development organization. At the heart of NutRemix lies the mission of New Ballet: the pursuit of pushing artistic horizons and making dance accessible to all. Starring New Ballet alum and globally acclaimed dancer Lil Buck, this unique production, featuring the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Big Band, takes the timeless classic, "The Nutcracker" and infuses it with vibrant choreography and a rich tapestry of cultural influences, including hip hop, Memphis Jookin, and West African dance and drumming. NutRemix invites audiences of all ages to embark on a captivating journey that honors the past while embracing the future of dance.
