**NEW** Acrylic Painting for BeginnersAre you keen to try your hand at painting with acrylics but unsure where to start? This brand new course will cover all of the basics and we will gradually progress to more contemporary and experimental techniques.
Suitable for beginners or those wishing to improve their existing skills. We will work on different projects over the course, incorporating the different skills, subject matters and medium below. We will work from a combination of photographs and still life items we bring into class. I'll tailor my teaching to suit you, if there’s something you really want to learn how to paint, I’ll do my best to make sure it’s covered.
Here are some of the things we will cover in the course...
Materials: We will discuss the different surfaces, brushes, and paints available, and how to choose the right ones for your needs.
Basic techniques: We will learn how to mix and layer paint and add detail to our paintings.
Colour and composition: We will explore the different ways to use colour and composition to create effective paintings.
Drawing inspiration from nature: We will take inspiration from the natural world around us to create our paintings.
Experimental and contemporary techniques:We will experiment with different techniques, including building up, blending, dry brush, spattering, scumbling and glazing.
