About this Event
Anthony Doerr, author of Cloud Cuckoo Land and All the Light We Cannot See—winner of the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, will join Christopher Coake (University of Nevada, Reno) to discuss his work at the Keynote Event of the 2024 Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl.
Anthony Doerr's All The Light We Cannot See spent more than 200 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list, selling more than 5.7 million copies in North America and another 9.5 million copies worldwide, and was adapted into a limited Netflix series starring Mark Ruffalo and Hugh Laurie. Doerr's latest novel, Cloud Cuckoo Land, was one of four titles selected as part of Nevada Humanities’ Nevada Reads, a statewide book club that invites Nevadans of all ages to read selected works of literature and come together to share ideas inspired by the books they read. Cloud Cuckoo Land won the 2022 Grand prix de littérature américaine in France, was named as a finalist for the 2021 U.S. National Book Award, and was shortlisted for the British Book Award.
The Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl is the largest and most significant literary festival in Northern Nevada, and features a day filled with panel discussions, book signings, workshops, and family-friendly activities that bring together the rich literary talent of Nevada and beyond. All events are free and open to participants of all ages.
