Celebrate Nevada's birthdays with our traditional Nevada Day peak bag of our local landmark, Peavine Mt. (8266'). Expect to learn about the diverse habitats we will be climbing through, and if we are lucky, see migrating mule deer, and quaking aspen.
This is not a beginners hike! But, a good hike for experienced hikers. Some sections are steep and rocky. You need good hiking boots. Hiking poles may be helpful for downhill.
Be prepared for chilly weather with temperatures in the 50's at the summit.
Bring snacks and plenty of water, and a lunch to eat on the top of this peak.
Distance is 10 miles with elevation gain of 3000 ft. Difficulty: Strenuous.
