Part of Albany Village Library's We Read Auckland Program.Friendly reading session and workshop to raise awareness of neurodiversity among individuals, and how to be more inclusive of them at home and in the classrooms. Focuses on learning disabilities and identifying them to provide proper support.
We will turn off some of the lights and make sure the library is quiet during this time to ensure people with sensory issues can participate.
Sensory items will be available to calm and comfort neurodiverse kids who may feel overwhelmed, there will also be goodie bags for families.
