You’re invited to Neurodiverse Universe’s Winter Holidays Party. We are a Meetup group for neurodivergent people in the Bay Area who want to make new friends and find community with people just like them. Our social events are a place where you can be yourself and get to meet people who understand you. This time of year can bring mixed emotions of both joy and challenging feelings when dealing with family, holiday traditions, and missing loved ones. We’re hosting this party so that you can experience the holiday season in an inclusive and relaxed environment.
Our party will have both group and solo activities you can enjoy. We will have coloring books, board games, console parties, Jackbox, making Christmas decorations, and more. You’re of course welcome to bring your own activities to share or do on your own. We should emphasize that socializing is not mandatory at our events, whether you want to talk to people or just enjoying yourself is your choice.
We will have food including pizza, traditional Christmas treats, hot chocolate, as well as vegan and gluten-free options! All this is covered thru your ticket costs!
Our goal for us is to make your holiday season a little more cheerful and have new friends to take into the new year!

What is Neurodiversity?:
We believe neurodiversity means understanding people’s brains experience the world differently and that no one should be excluded for being different. We also understand that being neurodivergent can give us both unique gifts and also create barriers to finding human connection, which why we started this group. We accept all forms of neurodiversity including Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Dyslexia, OCD, Mental Health, and many more. We don’t require any formal diagnosis, if you feel you’re neurodivergent, you’re welcome to join us.

What does my $12 ticket pay for?
Your $12 ticket covers renting the facility, Eventbrite fees, food, drink (except alcohol). We strive to keep costs as low as possible so as many of you can attend. Donations are still greatly appreciated so that we can continue to host more events like these in the future!
We accent payment via Eventbrite or in-person via Venmo and CashApp!

What does your group do?:
We host weekly events via Meetup where neurodivergent people can go out and have fun in the community. Past events we’ve hosted include movie nights, hikes, coffee socials, singles & speed dating mixers, clubbing, tabletop parties, educational forums, museum visits, and more. Our events are hosted in both San Jose and the Greater Bay Area.
We’re a self-run group, all of our hosts are neurodivergent like you. But the best thing about us is that you can host your own event! Want to go to something but don't want to go alone? Come invite us! We accept all proposals and we will help you set up the event. Everyone is welcome to join our leadership team.
