This will be a full-day event dedicated to celebrating and supporting kanorau à-roro—neurodivergence—within our West Coast community. – a day to connect, support, and uplift neurodivergent whānau in Te Tai o Poutini.
We’ve got lots planned – but for now we’re really excited to advise we’ve secured the following for the Event:
Cam Calkoen - Inspirational Speaker (That Awesome Guy). Cam was born with cerebral palsy and despite that has achieved a whole bunch of personal goals. He was told by doctors he would never be able to run or speak; he smashed it!
The Neurodiversity in Education Project - are bringing two young neurodiversity champions who will speak, and will kit out and coordinate a full neuro-affirming sensory space.
Locals talking about their lived experience of neurodiversity; what it’s meant for them and what’s made a difference
