Get ready, Riga! Joshua Perkins is bringing a preview version of his debut solo stand up comedy show 'Netflix and Dill' to Comedy Latvia bar!Before the show heads to Tallinn, Vilnius and elsewhere in Riga, this is a chance to catch a first look of the show at a smaller venue.
Based in Riga but hailing from Wales, Joshua has been tearing up the Baltic comedy scene since 2022. 'Netflix and Dill' debuted at Tallinn Fringe 2024 (review below), where Joshua won the first English comedy gong show held in the city. An English teacher by trade and a comic by accident, Joshua's comedy is heavily influenced by his unique perspective on language and the outsider's view of life in Latvia.
Expect razor-sharp crowd work, absurd observations, and bizarre stories from one of the Baltics’ most unpredictable comedians. From the downsides of teaching English to introverts to his underwhelming Bolt passenger score, ‘Netflix and Dill’ explores what it means to be not only a fish out of water but speaking and dating in English in a world where it is the imperfect lingua franca.
