This November will mark 47 years of service to the community by Newark Emergency Services for Families, Inc. (NESF).We are honoring this occasion with a celebratory fundraising event on our 47th Anniversary - The invitation is attached

The Mission of NESF is to stabilize and empower individuals and families in crisis by providing financial assistance, case management, support services, and community resources. With a focus on housing and food insecurities, as well as workforce development, NESF serves as an anchor social service institution that helps residents survive today so that they may thrive tomorrow.
15.2% of Essex County residents live in poverty. Of that 15.2% in Essex County, 91% of those impoverished Essex County Residents are in Newark, NJ. In Newark, 26% of the residents live in poverty, compared to 10.2% of New Jersey residents and 12.8% of residents in the United States.
NESF provides a safe, nurturing environment where the community comes to be restored. When you improve the life of an individual, you improve the life of the family. The family improves the life of the neighborhood and the entire city benefits when neighborhoods are thriving. But it starts with a hot nutritious meal, a warm shower, clean clothes, and someone to help you work out a plan to remove the barriers to success. That is who we are. This is how we serve. This is how we love our community.
NESF has been an anchor social services institution standing in the gap for the most vulnerable, marginalized, and disenfranchised population in our community. We need your help to continue the progress.
