Nervous System Re-Set:
How the Practice of Yoga Heals
with Ann Biasetti

Come learn about the autonomic nervous system and answers to questions such as:
What do we mean when we say "the issues are in the tissues," or "trauma is in the body?"
What happens in our yoga practice that leaves us feeling "re-set and restored?" and how does yoga contribute to Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Well-Being?
In this workshop you will learn the answers to the above questions and more as we explore our Autonomic nervous system on and off the mat through "mapping" your own nervous system according to the Polyvagal Theory along with discovering a yoga practice most suitable to your unique inner body.
The workshop will consist of a mix between teaching, practice and dialogue. We will begin with the exploration of our unique systems, breath-work and dialogue and then take it to the mat for an hour-long yoga practice consisting of yin yoga poses, fluid, embodied movement and ending with restorative yoga poses.
No yoga experience is necessary.

Ann is a somatic psychotherapist, author, and certified yoga therapist and 500 hr. certified yoga teacher. She trains others in restorative yoga and yoga therapy as well as in somatic interventions in psychotherapy. She is a trained Polyvagal theory therapist and specializes in helping people heal through their bodies on and off the mat
