We will be making our own coloured clay by mixing pigments directly into clay. Students will learn how to use stains to create their own coloured clays and use traditional nerikomi pattern designs.
During this workshop Natalia (host) will focus on using coloured clay and slabs to make forms. The way the clays are stacked and joined will result in various patterns.
This workshop provide a wonderful opportunity for all levels including beginners to come together and have lots of fun and to enjoy creating and working with clay and colour. It is open to adults (16+) and is a fun activity to share with friends or as an individual.
Finished pieces will be fired (1 bisque firing) and on the second meeting you can send your pieces and glaze them - they will be ready for pickup in approximately 2 weeks.
Refreshments and up to 4 items you have made to take home are included.
