Ribosomes - the Tiny Machines of Life. Ribosomes are molecular machines that translate the genomes of all living things (and even "nonliving" things) into proteins, the workhorses of the cellular world. In this talk, you'll hear a bit about my career researching ribosomes and their role in disease prevention in plants and humans.

Arbitrage: A market inefficiency. Arbitrage is the act of buying an asset in one market and selling it into another for a higher price. I’ve been designing high frequency trading systems for over 7 years that all execute various forms of arbitrage. I would love to share some unique insights into what markets look like at the microsecond timescale & how arbitrage plays a role in them.
