Lapkričio 25 d. 18 val. parodos uždarymo proga vyks ekskursija po parodą „Lepus“ (Zanavykų g. 25) su kuratore Agne Bagdžiūnaite.◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢
Buvusioje vaistinėje susitinka dvi skirtingų kartų menininkės – Snieguolė Michelkevičiūtė ir Gerda Paliušytė, kurių kūrybos būdai susilieja į vieną jautrų pasakojimą apie kūną, vyriškumą ir artumo patirtį.
Pasak kuratorės Agnės Bagdžiūnaitės, vyriškas kūnas parodoje tampa vieta, kurioje susipina jautrumo paieškos ir jų įtampos, o ne siekis atkurti idealą ar paslaptį. Pats parodos pavadinimas Lepus atveria dvilypę reikšmę – lotyniškai reiškia laukinį kiškį, o lietuviškai žymi lėtumą, švelnumą, trapumą. Šis žodis tampa jungtimi tarp dviejų menininkių žvilgsnių – instinktyviai gyvūniško ir subtiliai reflektuojančio.
Žaliakalnio turgus, kuriame įsikūrusi paroda, šiandien atrodo išgyvenantis štilį, bet vis dar išlaiko bendruomenės susitikimo vietos funkciją, todėl kviečiame susitikti ir susipažinti giliau ne tik su parodos kūrėjomis, bet ir su programos „Nepadorūs vakarai I B.M.W.“ užkulisiais.

On November 25 at 6:00 PM, join us for a guided tour of the exhibition Lepus (Zanavykų St. 25) led by curator Agnė Bagdžiūnaitė, marking the closing of the exhibition.
◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢
Set in a former pharmacy, the exhibition brings together two artists from different generations – Snieguolė Michelkevičiūtė and Gerda Paliušytė – whose distinct artistic approaches merge into a single, sensitive narrative about the body, masculinity, and the experience of intimacy.
According to curator Agnė Bagdžiūnaitė, the male body in the exhibition becomes a site where the search for sensitivity and its tensions intertwine, rather than an attempt to reconstruct an ideal or a mystery. The title Lepus reveals a dual meaning – in Latin it means “wild hare,” while in Lithuanian it denotes slowness, tenderness, and fragility. The word serves as a bridge between the two artists’ perspectives – one instinctively animalistic, the other subtly reflective.
The Žaliakalnis Market, where the exhibition is located, may appear calm today, yet it still preserves its function as a place of community encounters. We invite you to meet there as well – to get to know not only the artists behind the exhibition, but also the inner workings of the Obscene Evenings | B.M.W. program.
The event is free of charge and will happen in English.
