Join photographer Demas Rusli for a hands-on photography workshop in the major exhibition 'Cerith Wyn Evans .... in light of the visible'.Photography – literally meaning ‘drawing with light’ – has fascinated artist Cerith Wyn Evans ever since he encountered his father’s photographs in the darkroom as a child. This workshop begins with a special curator tour by MCA Assistant Curator Antares Wells, offering insight into Wyn Evans’ exhibition and how photography informs his artistic practice.
Then, learn how Demas captures the play of light, reflection and scale using neon, mirrors and the natural glow of Sydney Harbour. He’ll share tips on making photographs in challenging light conditions, finding strong angles and making the most of your camera or phone.
