GOT LAND? WANT LAND? Are you a landholder looking for farmers? Are you a farmer looking for land? We want you!Join us for a workshop on the nuts and bolts of land access! Young Agrarians Land Linking Workshops bring together land seekers and landholders to network, explore possible land matches and learn how to navigate land sharing and lease agreements.
This workshop will feature a panel discussion where you will hear from matched farmers and farmland holders, plus a land access expert. Panelists will highlight key considerations for building and maintaining mutually beneficial land agreements.
You will learn the benefits of land sharing, how to assess land for farming, decision-making strategies for farm operations on leased land and tips for managing communication and relationships. There will also be ample time to network and speak directly with land seekers, landholders and your regional land matcher, Nyree Marsh.
Before the workshop, you’ll get access to an online webinar that covers land access basics. Check out the video beforehand and bring your follow-up questions to the panel discussion!
