Message from Director, Brett Meyer:
Greetings all!
So it has been a crazy 9 year long road for this documentary, but we NOW have a solid rough cut and are very excited to screen it. Before we venture into doing the final cut of the film we are looking for your help to give us some feedback first. The film explores firsthand and on a personal basis the opiate crisis in America and people’s struggle with addiction due to it. We follow the journeys of multiple characters, including the director’s, over time.
At the end of the documentary screening a questionnaire will be handed out for you to answer a few questions and give your opinion about the film anonymously and hand it back to us. We greatly appreciate your help with this matter and thank everyone who has supported Needles in the Hay over all these years!
Anyone is welcome to come out and give their feedback, but our targeted audience is:
A. Those who have lost loved ones due to addiction that don’t struggle with addiction issues themselves.
B. People that don’t know me or anything about the film. If you do know me, please try to bring a friend or family member who doesn’t know much about the topic of the opiate crisis or addiction.
This will help us get responses from people of all different walks of life, and is very important for us to get a well rounded opinion about the film and make sure that the topic and messages of the film are clear to the viewers.
Be there or be 🔲
Trigger warning: This film shows active drug use, has adult themes and heavy emotional content.
