Make a bookstyle needlecase with anembroidered bird and flowers. You may add whatever
embellishments you like to make it your own.
Please note: You will not be making the blackwork bird like on the deep rose needlebook but will be shown how to make the flowers embroidered on it.
In this class, you will put together a small 3 inch by 4.5 inch woolfelt booklet with 4 pages. Your cover will have a bird and flowers embroidered around it. It will be a great little book to store your needles and pins.
A kit will be provided but you will pick out your colours and the print for your inside lining at the class.
A “Community” bin will also be provided to choose other fabrics and embellishments to add.
The cost of the kit is $15.00, payable to Janet on the day of the class, cash preferred.
Your kit will include:
1. Woolfelt for the cover and inside pages
2. Woolfelt for the bird and sun
3. Stabilizer for the inside cover
4. Various threads (embroidery floss and pearle
cotton)
5. 2 needles
6. Fabric for the inside lining
7. A pattern for the bird
You will need to bring the following:
1. A sharp pencil
2. Sharp cutting scissors that will cut your
woolfelt.
3. Clipping thread scissors
4. Some of your own threads (if you like)
5. And last but not least, your imagination!
