If you’ve ever seen Terry Thompson spin, you know that he has the energy of two teenagers. There is nothing but pure electricity from this veteran DJ. Whether it’s a small intimate venue or massive event with thousands of house music fans-- he always delivers.

Multi-talented Chicago native--Terry began spinning records at the age of 16. He has held residencies in legendary clubs from east to west coast. Terry lived 6 years in LA and Hawaii-playing at hot 80’s venues like the Wave Waikiki and Pink Cadillac. During the mid-eighties, he introduced the Hawaii nightclub dance floors to house music.

Late 1986, he moved back to Chicago just in time to experience the peak of the Chicago House wave. In 1987, he moved to Baltimore and began his quest to spread the Chicago House gospel. Over the years playing a long with local DC/Baltimore dj heroes like the Basement Boys, Karizma, DJ Spen, Charles Feelgood, Scott Henry, DJ Oji, DJ Pope, 95 North, and Deep Dish. He quickly became the new kid on the block out of Chicago with a new sound.

In 2006, Terry’s track Strangelove was voted #2 in West End Records’ 2006 International talent search contest. Terry’s productions are pumping main room up-tempo house music. That same year, Terry teamed up vocalist Lisa Mack along with Grammy nominated music producers, DJ Spen and Thommy Davis to release, “Shine” on Defected Records. Pete Tong featured “Shine” as the new essential tune on his weekly BBC Radio 1 show. The track became an instant smash hit, played by djs all over the world including Bob Sinclair, Pete Tong, and Roger Sanchez. It was licensed on multiple compilations including the Defected in The House Miami 2007 CD.

In 2008, with another co-production with DJ Spen and Thommy Davis released the single “Magic” featuring vocals by Shelia Ford and DJ Spen. This jackin track received major spin action from djs like Tony Humphries, Tedd Patterson, CJ McIntosh, and the Groove Junkies.

In March 2008,Terry launched an annual WMC Future Classic Party event with a smashing lineup of DJ talent from around the globe which included: John “Julius” Knight, Groove Junkies, JoshfromBlaze, Studio Apartment, Master Kev, Sugar Girls Squad (Ultra Nate and Lisa Moody), Wayne Williams, Sosue, Phil Kamp, JP Rigaud, Jerry Haley, and many more.

The Future Classics Party is one of the most anticipated events to attend at the WMC. Artist that performed at FuTure Classics parties include Crystal Waters, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tenaglia, Ultra Nate, Dj Spen, Tony Humphries, Tedd Patterson, Basement Boys, and many more. You can expect to more Future Classics Events around the globe in the near future.

What sets Terry apart from other djs is his high energy and infectious blends of many genre of electronic dance music. He plays nothing but --the best of the best insane music on the planet. His deep vocal house and mainroom sets are sick. You can tell he searched hours and hours for the most uplifting music around the globe. He always surprises the crowd with a few lost disco tracks, soulful gems and infuses pumping productions that would expect to hear in Brazil. Watch him behind the decks, cueing up, bobbing in beat, energizing the crowd. It’s amazing to watch. It’s even more amazing to hear him in action.
