nebulose by lydia stewart of "lidjamade" will have it's gallery opening on friday, january 10th from 5-8pm. nebulose is a collection of canvas art made with acrylic paint and alcohol inks, sometimes both - that is representative of the life of a forty-something mother of two finding her voice in paint after years of finding herself in the most majestic poetry one could imagine.
you see, lydia is my high school friend - i've known this woman since i was 17 and watching her grow as an artist and been more than a pleasure, it's been a blessing. i believe i still have the line drawing (in crayon) she did when we were in undergrad together of the dawson's creek 'fam' as we had our weekly dawson's night tucked in with our fazoli's free kids' meals.
anyway - lydia is a brilliant artist in more ways than one and i'm excited to be able to showcase her art to set off the gallery space for 2025. please come join us, and maybe even take a piece of art home that speaks to you. each piece is one of a kind and a colorful masterpiece that i'm certain was overthought in the most amazing of ways.
