2025 Nebraska Environmental Education Conference Rooted in Change: Community & Conservation through Environmental Education
February 26 & 27, 2025 at Mahoney State Park (Ashland, NE)
Environmental Education connects Nebraskans to the land, natural world, and each other through meaningful outdoor experiences, hands-on curriculum, and informal learning opportunities that engage people in how our natural systems work, and centers our interconnection with all life and life supporting systems throughout our world.
As humans our role as stewards in the web of life is deeply rooted in our biology and many deeply held cultural values. During this conference we will be honoring the original caretakers and stewards of the land we are all connected to in Nebraska by centering Indigenous voices and leaders within and throughout the conference - learning how deeply woven the tenets and values of environmental education are with connecting and stewarding the land, and ways we can deepen our practice rooted in this interconnection to strengthen the resiliency of our youth and our natural world into the future. Save the date for the next Nebraska Environmental Education Conference, and join fellow Nebraskan environmental educators, classroom educators, community leaders and volunteers dedicated to elevating environmental education efforts across our great state!
This conference is being planned by the Nebraska Alliance for Conservation & Environmental Education - a state affiliate network of the North American Association for Environmental Education, and in partnership with the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission.
