About this Event

A SCU First: Neal Chin is coming to Pittsburgh!

On his way to Altoona's Uke Soiree, he will be stopping by the Burgh to share his uke knowledge with us! And this workshop is just for Steel City Ukes and will not be taught at the Soiree.

Minor Swing - Django for ‘Ukulele

Master guitarist Django Reinhardt revolutionized both the guitar and how it was played, creating his own sound and bringing his music to the world. His classic Minor Swing is a wonderful place to enter into his music and to take a look and some of the colorful sounds of playing in a minor key. We’ll learn how to play the tune, take some time finding our swing, and in the tradition of the tune, learn how to solo ala Django!

Workshop 7-8 pm, concert 8-8:30 pm

You can register and pay at Eventbrite or with Amber, Kathy or Sunny in-person at one of our meet ups to reserve your place. If in person, we need your contact info and we can take cash, venmo or PayPal.
