Bristol’s Stone Church Coffee House at the First Congregational Church welcomes Neal and The Vipers on Saturday, September 27. NEAL & THE VIPERS are a Rhode Island based band, playing American Roots Music encompassing blues, rock & roll, rockabilly, and surf, entertaining their fans for over 30 years! You can feel the chemistry between all of them as they play original hits songs from their multiple CD's as well as covering classic songs. The Vipers add their unique arrangement on these classic songs, always making them their own.
Their first CD, "Hooloovoo" was released on "Big Noise" records in 1991, where it went on to be the best selling CD in 1991 and 1992 by "TheNicePaper" as well as the 1991 Critic's Choice Award from "The Providence Journal". "I'm Finally Alone", their second CD also released by "Big Noise", went on to be the best of 1993 from "The Providence Journal" and the best selling CD of 1994 from "TheNicePaper". They continued to win awards from "Best Music Poll," "The Providence Phoenix," and the "Best of Bands" to the "Best of Blues Acts" from the "Hartford Advocate".
Neal Vitullo as well as the Vipers have shared the stage with many music legends such as B.B. King, Roy Buchanan, John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Albert Collins, Greg Allman, Jimmy Vaughan, Willie Dixon, Johnny Copeland and Robert Plant.
Neal Vitullo has been recognized by Vintage Guitar as one of the finest guitarists of his generation. Neal and The Vipers were inducted in the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
Bristol’s Stone Coffee House is an affordable, family-oriented, handicap-accessible musical venue. Doors open at 6:45PM and the show starts at 7:30PM. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Light refreshments will be available. Tickets are $25.00 per person (students are half price; children 5 and under are free).
