Omaha Roller Derby is hosting the Nebraska Derby Officials' Clinic on Saturday, November 23, 2024Do you like roller derby, but haven’t been sure how to get involved? Or are you already involved in roller derby at a beginner level and want to take your knowledge of the game to the next level? Join us for this officiating clinic to learn the foundations of roller derby gameplay and rules. Not sure what an official is or does? This is a perfect event to learn.
The clinic curriculum will feature two tracks: one for skating officials and one for non-skating officials. The clinic will begin at 9 AM with a break for lunch (provided!). We will host one adult and one junior scrimmage so that all officials can practically apply what they’ve learned in the morning’s “classroom” session.

-Notebook or notepad
-Pen or pencil
-Gear, Fox40 whistle for skating officials

*For the scrimmages, we will extend the breaks in between jams so that learning officials can ask questions and receive explanations for calls made (or not made) during gameplay.
