Transform your life by signing up for a library card at Northville District Library.This month, NDL joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to remind parents, caregivers, and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning. It's the most important back-to-school supply!
Any child in grades K - 5th who signs up for a library card this month will receive a free packet of back-to-school supplies to go with their new card.
What's required to be eligible for an NDL card?
Any resident or property owner in the city or township of Northville is eligible for a library card at no charge. To apply for a card, stop by the Circulation Desk. You’ll need to bring valid photo identification (driver’s license, passport, state identification) with your current address.
If you are under the age of eighteen, you must have a parent or guardian present to sign the card application and provide proof of address.
If you work or attend school in Northville and do not qualify for a resident card you may obtain a Northville District Library card at no charge. Verification of employment or school enrollment in the district is required.
Library cards need to be renewed in person at the check-out desk with ID every 3 years.
