The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra proudly launches its 61st concert season with Vive le Canada- a vibrant celebration of our very own national treasure, the NBYO. Following a landmark 60th anniversary tour that brought Mahler’s First Symphony to prestigious stages including Maison Symphonique de Montréal and National Arts Centre in Ottawa, the NBYO returns home with renewed energy, excellence, and national pride. This season, audiences will experience the exceptional talent of our province's finest young musicians- the next generation of Canadian artists. Over 90% of the orchestra began playing their instruments in the internationally acclaimed Sistema NB program- a free daily after-school program that uses music and the orchestra as a means to create social change. Now playing on the finest stages in the country, these young musicians will blow you away with their performance.
The program features an orchestral adaptation of the classic Canadian storybook, The Hockey Sweater and Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony.
Don't miss this chance to hear the NBYO live at the Beautiful Imperial Theatre.
