Welcome everyone to NBAL's third General Meeting of the 2025-2026 season! Our meetings are free and are open to NBAL members and the public. Everyone with an interest in art is encouraged to attend.
We have an exciting evening planned for you. Come learn something new during our demo and presentation, enter your art for the Artist of the Month challenge, enjoy some snacks, and make new friends.
We are thrilled to have Tori Davis of the Spotted Sardine present and demonstrate her newest fascination with hand painting beautiful designs onto seashells.
Victoria Davis is a multidisciplinary artist and designer with a background in fibers and a passion for transforming color and pattern into tangible, joyful objects. She began her creative career as a surface designer, developing print, pattern, and embellishment for leading fashion and home brands including Anthropologie, Lilly Pulitzer, Lands’ End, Echo and more.
With a deep-rooted love for painting and textiles, Victoria has always been drawn to the intersection of art and product—where visual storytelling meets everyday life. Her work reflects a playful sensibility, a painterly approach to surface, and a vibrant use of color inspired by nature, memory, and movement.
Her lifelong fascination with seashells serendipitously evolved into a new artistic direction—one that ultimately led to the founding of The Spotted Sardine, a creative venture that celebrates whimsy, craftsmanship, and coastal beauty through shell-based design and art objects.
Whether working on a canvas or a three-dimensional piece, Victoria brings an intuitive, hands-on approach to everything she creates, guided by curiosity, texture, and the joy of discovery.
We have an Artist of the Month contest where artists bring work that fits the theme of the month. For October our theme is “Windows/Doorways”.
We will have a light buffet and refreshments, NBAL members are kindly asked to bring something to share. Help with set up and take down is appreciated.
