Waves, Waltzes and WonderJoin us for a memorable evening as the Nazareth University Symphony (Raúl Munguía, conductor) opens its 2025-26 season with a program full of energy, color, and passion. The evening opens with Johann Strauss II’s lively Overture to Die Fledermaus, a joyful and sparkling start to the night. We’ll then perform Peter Pilsner’s A Light in the Ocean, a beautiful new work that captures the shimmering vastness and poetry of the deep sea waves. From there, the orchestra will bring to life Aram Khachaturian’s moving Adagio from Spartacus, Suite No. 2, a piece beloved for its soaring melodies and wide-ranging emotion. The highlight of the evening will feature pianist Dr. Sarah Rhee-Tirré—Nazareth University faculty member performing the iconic Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, a masterpiece known for its passion, lyricism, and breathtaking virtuosity. The concert is free and open to the public.
