Chelle Neff shares her unfiltered entrepreneurial journey of building Urban Betty from scratch, highlighting the mistakes that became turning points in her business. She will walk through how she transformed challenges such as opening with the wrong business model, losing half her staff overnight, and taking nearly a decade to become profitable into opportunities for growth. Attendees will walk away with practical strategies for building resilience, creating a strong workplace culture, and structuring their business for long term success.
Chelle Neff is the Founder and CEO of Urban Betty, a multi location salon company in Austin and Round Rock, Texas. With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Chelle has grown Urban Betty from a single six chair salon into one of the largest and most recognized salon brands in the region. Her company has earned awards such as Austin American Statesman’s Extraordinary Women, Austin Business Journal’s Best Places to Work, and multiple Salon Today Top 200 recognitions. She is passionate about creating a thriving, people first culture and empowering entrepreneurs through candid storytelling about her own journey, sharing the wins, the losses, and the lessons learned along the way.
