Join us for a Learning to Care workshop to hear about navigating public schools, IEPs, and 504 plans with your foster and adopted children.
About this Event

Topic & Speaker: Beth Porter, EdS, LPC, NCC has been an elementary school counselor for over 20 years in Clarke and Oconee County Schools. She has worked with thousands of children assisting with their social, emotional, developmental, and learning needs. She works with parents and guardians through parenting classes, individual counseling, and parent coaching. A few of her areas of experience include adoption concerns, ADHD, learning difficulties, emotional regulation, childhood trauma, and executive functioning skills. At the April 17 Learning to Care, she will share with us on navigating school-based interventions, 504 plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEP's). Beth's experience and knowledge on these topics will certainly be helpful in assisting you and the children in your home with their social, emotional, developmental, and learning needs.

Dinner: Dinner will be provided for all registered adults and children.
