About the Speaker
Max Schwartz-Labell practices corporate law with a focus on emerging companies,
venture capital and M&A transactions in the technology, life sciences and food and beverage sectors.
Max has operational startup experience as a co-founder of a prior technology venture, where he focused on strategy and raising capital from institutional investors. Moreover, Max was an associate at an investment bank at a Tier 1 Canadian financial institution, giving him keen insights into how investors approach investments. With his background, Max provides a unique perspective to clients at every stage of growth through his practical approach to business and legal issues. He works closely with founders, startup executive teams, and investors, guiding them through strategic decisions and corporate legal matters, specializing in company formation, equity and structured financings, exit M&A situations, and corporate governance matters.
