Navidad Latina: A Holiday Concert

This concert celebrates Hispanic holiday traditions, blending European and Latin American Christmas carols. We’ll include familiar traditional carols in Spanish as well as Latin American favorites, bringing a lively folk quality. With the added presence of the Ghukasyan String Orchestra, the music also gains a classical feel, creating a “crossover” atmosphere—elegant but upbeat. The Ghukasyan String Orchestra is directed by Nonna Alakhverdova and includes 15 talented performers, students, and alumni from the University of Ensenada. Ensemble Vocal de las Californias (EVOCA) joins the Ghukasyan String Orchestra with guest musicians - all performing with the First UU Chalice and Women's Choirs under the direction of FUU Music Director Tomás Acosta. Admission is free, registration required.
