Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southeast invites industry partners to provide feedback on the P215 JIATF-S Command and Control Facility project being constructed at Truman Annex, Naval Air Station Key West, Florida. This event will offer insights into the complexities of the project, including secure areas and construction supply chain challenges, as well as discussions on skilled labor availability and project site constraints. This is an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 236220 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition strategy.**PLEASE NOTE THE INDUSTRY DAY LOCATION IS IN DORAL, FL NOT IN KEY WEST**
Project Description:
The project involves constructing a five-story JIATF-S Command and Control Facility (C2F) at Truman Annex, NAS Key West, FL. It will feature an operations area with special use spaces for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), Operations Center (OC), and Network Operations Center (NOC), along with an administrative area divided into security zones. The facility will include redundant mechanical and electrical systems, an antenna pad, loading service areas, fire protection systems, an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), and an Energy Monitoring Control System (EMCS). Designed to withstand Category 5 hurricane winds and resist coastal corrosion, it will be elevated above floodplain levels. Communication and server rooms will have dedicated redundant air-conditioning units and clean agent fire suppression systems.
Supporting facilities will encompass site development, utilities, parking, storm drainage, and landscaping, with a self-contained heating and air conditioning system. Accessibility for individuals with disabilities will be ensured, and a fire suppression pump system will provide a 10-day supply of fresh water.
Special features include cybersecurity commissioning and compliance with energy and environmental regulations. Existing JIATF-S facilities will be demolished, and the new structure will be designed for a minimum lifespan of 40 years, adhering to DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02) for energy efficiency and integrated building systems performance.
