The CSS Neuse was commissioned in 1864 and ready for battle, but still needed a full crew.A recruiting event was held, called a “Naval Rendezvous” to enlist volunteers and transfers from nearby army units.
The crew of the CSS Neuse II will recreate that event with a living history event of Sailors, soldiers, activities, demonstrations and displays of naval and military equipment.
