Naval Live Oaks First Hike and Talk Program

Join us Saturday, December 6th, at 9 am for a 2-hour guided hike program along the Brackenridge Loop trail.
Come learn all about the history of Deer Point Naval Live Oak Plantation during a talk along the hike. The trail is 0.8-mile, mostly flat and an uneven, unpaved trail.
We will meet at Naval Live Oaks Area, in front of the Gulf Islands Headquarters. There is no fee to enter the Naval Live Oaks section of Gulf Islands National Seashore. Park in marked parking spots. Bring water and/or hiking shoes.
Planned dates for the First Saturday Hike include December 6, 2025; January 3, 2026; February 7, 2026; and March 7, 2026.
